Wattnow offers IoT-based smart energy management solutions.
Tunisian startup Wattnow has closed a multi-million dollar funding round to support its growth. The company, founded in 2018 by Issam Smaali, offers an IoT-based smart energy management solution that combines plug-and-play hardware with software to help businesses monitor and control their energy usage.
Wattnow's service allows companies to visualize energy consumption in real time, automate energy loads, and receive alerts through its cloud-based dashboard, which provides detailed reports and analytics. The startup previously raised $1.3 million in a pre-series A round in 2022.
The latest funding round, which is assumed to be a Series A, was led by Lateral Frontiers and 216 Capital.
Other participants include Outlierz Ventures, Satgana, Octerra Capital, and a group of angel investors such as InstaDeep founder Karim Beguir and Guillaume Amblard.
Wattnow, with operations spanning over 11 countries, including key markets in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and North America, will use the new funds to expand its global presence and enhance its technology.
