American wearable tech company WHOOP has unveiled two new products—the WHOOP 5.0 and the WHOOP MG—that it has billed as “next-generation wearables designed to unlock a new approach to personal health and longevity.”

Besides offering 14-day battery life in a sleeker design (which is seven percent smaller than their previous iterations), the two devices have hit the market with a host of breakthrough health and longevity features, including medical-grade (MG) capabilities and insights. Indeed, in an interview with Inc. Arabia, WHOOP founder and CEO Will Ahmed declared the new devices to be representative of “the biggest step forward” that his company has ever taken.

“This is a complete rethinking of how we empower our members to unlock their health and performance,” Ahmed told Inc. Arabia. “For the first time, we’re launching two new wearables simultaneously, each packed with groundbreaking features like Healthspan, Heart Screener, and Blood Pressure Insights, directly from your wrist, without a cuff. We’ve also introduced Women’s Hormonal Insights to support health across every life stage. These devices capture dozens of data points per second, with a battery life of over two weeks, ensuring constant insight, without interruption.”

According to Ahmed, such medical-grade capabilities and insights have never been offered in a single wearable before. “These are not just features, they’re tools to help you make smarter decisions, and live a healthier, more intentional life,” he added. “Many of them were shaped by what we heard from our members. Their feedback pushed us to go further, and deliver deeper insights, longer battery life, and a more personalized experience than ever before.”

WHOOP’s latest innovations are thus going beyond traditional fitness tracking—while other wearables may focus on surface-level metrics, the company’s newest offerings are aiming to drive longevity by translating key physiological signals into actionable guidance that’s designed to enhance not just lifespan, but healthspan.

“WHOOP was never designed to just track fitness,” Ahmed told Inc. Arabia. “It was built to unlock human potential. With WHOOP 5.0, we're doubling down on this philosophy by expanding beyond athletic performance into proactive wellness and longevity. Features like Healthspan, which measures your WHOOP Age and Pace of Aging, shift the conversation from simply performing better today, to living better and healthier tomorrow. Another example is Blood Pressure Insights, which provide medical-grade health monitoring, allowing members to be proactive rather than reactive about their health.”

And while WHOOP may have had elite athletes as its initial user base, Ahmed pointed out that the value of its offering now transcends niche markets. “Whether you’re chasing championships, or simply seeking better sleep and longevity, WHOOP is for anyone who wants a deeper understanding of their body,” Ahmed told Inc. Arabia. “We’re excited to broaden our audience, while staying true to our mission of performance and healthspan.”

Additionally, when discussing regions around the world that are of interest to WHOOP, Ahmed revealed that the company is looking to expand its footprint in the GCC. “The GCC is an incredibly exciting and strategically important market for WHOOP; it’s actually our fastest growing region globally,” he shared. “There’s a real hunger here for premium, tech-driven health solutions. Countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE have a population increasingly focused on wellness, longevity, and performance.”

“What’s fascinating is how quickly adoption is growing here, and how willing people are to invest in wearable technology that delivers meaningful, actionable insights,” Ahmed continued. “The WHOOP approach of simplifying complex health data into clear, actionable scores, is perfectly aligned with the region’s expectations for high-quality, intuitive products. We see enormous potential here to make a lasting impact on people’s health and longevity.”

As WHOOP’s newest innovations thus set out to conquer the GCC and the rest of the world, Ahmed noted that this was an especially profound moment for both the company and himself as an entrepreneur.  “Launching WHOOP 5.0 and MG feels incredibly special,” Ahmed said. “It marks a pivotal moment in our journey, reflecting the evolution of our mission from simply unlocking human performance, to unlocking healthspan. When I started WHOOP 13 years ago, the goal was ambitious, to change how people understand and improve their bodies. This release is a major milestone in realizing that vision at scale.”

“Personally, seeing features like Healthspan and WHOOP Age in action has had a profound impact,” he added. “It’s already motivated me to rethink habits and how I prioritize my health, especially since becoming a parent. It’s exciting to know we’re giving our members tools that inspire real behavior change, enabling them to live longer and healthier.”

As for the road ahead for the company, Ahmed was clear-cut in his vision for WHOOP. “Looking forward, WHOOP aims to become the health operating system for the future,” he declared. “We’re just getting started—we have our eye on in-depth blood biomarkers, which would be another huge step towards powering people to proactively manage their health with amazing clarity.”
