The event will last until May 9th.
The 31st edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), a global event in the travel and tourism sector, hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre, kicked off today, Monday, May 6th, until Thursday, May 9th. Anticipation is high as over 41,000 attendees from around the world are expected to convene at this annual trade show, which boasts an impressive lineup of 2,300 exhibitors representing 165 countries.
Under the banner of ‘Empowering Innovation – Transforming Travel through Entrepreneurship’, this year's ATM will focus on the pivotal role of startups and entrepreneurs in shaping the future of the industry. By providing a platform for industry leaders and policymakers to champion entrepreneurism, the event aims to identify growth opportunities and drive meaningful change within the travel and tourism community.
ATM kicks off with the Market Insights Summit on the Global Stage, where experts will delve into the potential of key markets such as China, India, and Latin America. As these regions emerge as influential players in global tourism, discussions will revolve around harnessing their growth potential and fostering sustainable partnerships.
Sustainability remains a cornerstone of ATM’s agenda, building upon previous years' efforts and aligning with its 30 long-term sustainability goals. The Sustainability Summit, slated for May 9th, will tackle pressing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations, shedding light on consumer preferences and discuss the collaborative efforts necessary to steer the industry towards a more sustainable future.
The Sustainable Stand Award will go to the participant who has made exceptional strides in reducing their stand’s carbon footprint.
