Billed as the UAE's first men's wellness startup of its kind, Better has launched in Dubai with the aim to address issues men face with their physical and sexual health.

Through a subscription model, the startup offers customized treatments, including biotin hair loss gummies and generic Viagra mints, to help men tackle such challenges affordably.

Founded by entrepreneurs Walid Dib and Hass Anver, Better is designed to confront the causes of mental pressure experienced by men in high-stress environments. According to Dib, “men don’t really talk about things like hair loss, weight loss, or even sexual complications. These are side effects of working in high-stress environments.”

Drawing from their experiences in the business world, Dib and Anver aimed to address men's mental health through a unique approach, stating, “We wanted to build something that isn’t an off-the-shelf, one-size-fits-all type of product.”

Dib elaborated in an exclusive interview with Inc. Arabia that the existing offerings in the region often lack personalization. “The problem we found when talking to doctors is that everything is generic,” he explained. "Doctors often prescribe things with a cookie-cutter approach. We didn’t want that. We want to match the personalization you get with a well-regarded doctor or a compounding pharmacy which, by the way, most people don’t even know exists. In a nutshell, we’re talking AED2,000 worth of consultations, plus the compounding pharmacy fees, and the availability and price point of generics. Our intention here is to give you that ‘oo la la’ experience from the comfort of your home."

The startup is also working to expand its offerings to address other common men's health issues, such as weight loss, mental wellness, and sleep health. “Current products and services in the men’s health space fail to cater to individual needs,” Dib said. Better's approach includes thorough online consultations that consider each customer’s specific profile.

Looking ahead, Better plans to expand beyond the UAE, with aspirations to enter the Saudi market soon. “Our goal is to reach millions of men across the GCC and become their discreet, if you will, wingman,” Dib shared.
