Dubai to Pilot Shorter Work Week, Fridays Off This Summer
The program, "Our Summer is Flexible," run by the DGHR, aims to improve employee performance and quality of life.
The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) announced that 15 Dubai government organizations will trial a new work schedule from August 12th to September 30th. Work will be suspended on Fridays, and daily hours will be reduced to seven.[1]

The DGHR will evaluate the results and feedback to decide if the changes should be adopted as a permanent policy for future summers.
