Revterra Wins $1 Million Piloting Opportunity from ADNOC
Revterra secured its position as the winner among 10 finalists during an event held in Dubai.
Revterra, a Houston-based company specializing in innovative batteries crafted from recycled steel, has been granted a $1 million piloting opportunity by ADNOC in the final stage of the Decarbonization Technology Challenge, as per a press release by ADNOC.[1]
This came during the culmination of the Decarbonization Technology Challenge, a global competition orchestrated by ADNOC in collaboration with industry leaders such as AWS, bp, Hub71, and the Net Zero Technology Centre.
The challenge aimed to pinpoint and champion innovative climate technologies with the potential for widespread scalability.
The ADNOC Decarbonization Technology Challenge attracted an impressive pool of 650 applicants from 50 countries, showcasing a diverse array of expertise in digital applications, carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS), new energies, oil and gas emissions reduction, advanced materials for decarbonization, and nature-based solutions.
Revterra secured its position as the winner among 10 finalists during an event held in Dubai.
Revterra will also benefit from access to state-of-the-art facilities and expertise at the ADNOC Research and Innovation Center in Abu Dhabi.
ADNOC is actively propelling the decarbonization of its operations, aiming for a 25% reduction in carbon intensity by 2030 and aspiring to achieve net-zero emissions by 2045.
