The UAE has taken proactive measures, announcing remote work and distance learning for Thursday and Friday in anticipation of heavy rain and thunderstorms. The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) issued directives on Wednesday, urging schools, universities, and both public and private sectors to adopt remote learning.

With weather-related directives varying by the emirate, NCEMA emphasized the closure of roads leading to flood-prone areas to minimize the impact of adverse weather conditions.

Sharjah, in particular, has outlined comprehensive plans, with all schools and universities transitioning to distance learning on Thursday. Government employees will also work remotely, aligning with Sharjah's four-day week schedule, with Friday already designated as a day off.

Public parks are set to close on both days as a precautionary measure. Most of the country will experience moderate to heavy rain, along with thunder and lightning, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.
