Technically speaking, Grok, the AI chatbot, is not a part of X; rather, it is a project of Elon Musk's called xAI.
Human moderators used their judgment to create Moments, a comparable product from Twitter. The product was discontinued soon after Musk assumed leadership in late 2022.
The product is still in the early testing phases, and has a disclaimer asking users to verify any information on the stories themselves before publising or retweeting.
