For generations, the idea of a dream job occupied a central place in career ambitions. The concept suggested that professional success could become a source of identity, fulfillment, financial security, and personal achievement all at once. Many employees were encouraged to dedicate years of effort, sacrifice personal time, and prioritize career advancement above almost everything else. Today, however, a growing number of Gen Z professionals are approaching work with a different perspective.
