Google Cloud commemorated the first anniversary of the Doha Google Cloud region with the first Google Cloud Doha Summit, held under the patronage of Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, as per an emailed press release to Inc. Arabia.
The summit, hosted at Stadium 974 in Doha, brought together over 1,000 attendees, including government officials, industry leaders, and Google Cloud partners and customers. It served as a platform to celebrate Qatar's digital progress and explore the future of cloud computing and AI.
The Doha Google Cloud region, the first in the Middle East and Africa, has witnessed the adoption of Google Cloud services.

As part of the Google Cloud Doha Summit 2024 on May 28th, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) talked about Qatar's efforts to localize modern technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, as well as the nation's role in advancing digital development, encouraging entrepreneurship, and bolstering the national economy.[1]
