Stars of Science Season 15 Crowns Top Arab Innovators
Saudi Finalist Mohammed Abbas Albumijdad Claims the Title of Top Arab Innovator on Qatar Foundation’s Edutainment Show
The Saudi Arabian robotics engineer Mohammed Abbas Albumijdad has been named the Top Arab Innovator, capping off the historic Season 15 of the Qatar Foundation's (QF) Stars of Science educational television program, according to an emailed press release.

Albumijdad's creation of a crawler robot for vertical surfaces won first place, earning him the winning portion of the Grand Prize, according to the show's longstanding host, Khalid Al Jumaily.
“I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who believed in my project and voted for me. Your faith and support have made this achievement possible, and I will continue to combine my passion for robotics and engineering to create a safer and more sustainable future for construction projects across the world,” said Albumijdad during the ceremony.
It can be utilized for a variety of tasks, including checking bridges for cracks, cleaning, and other tasks in difficult-to-reach or dangerous regions. It was created specifically to monitor huge vertical spaces.
In the area of maintenance and problem finding, the robot has the ability to greatly reduce risk and improve safety.
