UAE’s DAMAC To Invest US$20 Billion In US Data Centers
US President-Elect Donald Trump made the declaration at a press conference in Florida, which also saw the presence of DAMAC Properties founder and chairman Hussain Sajwani.
US President-Elect Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that UAE-based DAMAC Properties has made a US$20 billion investment to build data centers across America.
Trump made the declaration at a press conference in Florida, which also saw the presence of DAMAC Properties founder and chairman Hussain Sajwani.
“It’s an honor to have such a great investor investing in our country,” Trump said. “The investment will support massive data centers across the Midwest, the Sun Belt area, and to keep America on the cutting edge of technology and artificial intelligence.”

Sajwani too heaped praises on the US President-Elect, saying, “For the last four years, we’ve been waiting for this moment. And we’re planning to invest $20 billion, and even more than that, if the opportunity and the market allows us.”
The investment from DAMAC Properties follows an announcement last month from Japan-based SoftBank to invest $100 billion in the US, which is expected to create more than 100,000 jobs.
