UAE's Alternative investor Investcorp Capital plc announced that it will pump $4.2 in investments for the redevelopment of New York’s JFK International Airport’s Terminal 6. This strategic move comes through Investcorp Group's recent partnership with Corsair Capital, forming Investcorp Corsair Infrastructure Partners.[1]
Vantage Airport Group, a wholly-owned airports platform under Corsair Capital, will spearhead the development, operation, and management of the new terminal.
The $4.2 billion redevelopment project is set to replace the existing Terminal 7, introducing a terminal spanning 1.2 million square feet. The new terminal will boast 10 gates with spacious waiting areas and over 100,000 square feet dedicated to commercial amenities, airline lounges, and two AirTrain stations.
Construction will unfold in two phases, with the first phase already in progress and slated for completion by 2025. Phase two is anticipated to conclude in late 2027.
