Investcorp Unveils $750 Million Climatech Platform
With $50 billion in assets under management, Investcorp aims to achieve net zero status by 2050.
Bahrain-based Investcorp, a global investment management firm, has introduced a $750 million climate solutions investment platform, as per a press release.[1]
The platform focuses on growth-stage businesses in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
It intends to invest ten to fifteen times as much in these businesses in the next four to five years, typically investing between $50 million and $75 million in each capital round.
Investcorp, whose largest stakeholder is Mubadala Investment Company, will invest in businesses with proven technologies that help decarbonize activities in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, particularly in the Global South.
With $50 billion in assets under management, Investcorp aims to achieve net zero status by 2050.
Additionally, it intends to help the businesses it has invested in decarbonize their operations by implementing climate-friendly measures.
Investcorp invests in over 70 businesses worldwide in infrastructure, e-commerce, real estate, and technology.
