In 2023, Alexa switched lights on and off in over 24 million homes in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
With over 8.9 million actions made thus far this year in these two nations, air conditioners are the second most used smart appliance. Middle Eastern consumers typically have eleven smart appliances linked to Alexa, indicating the expanding popularity of voice-activated home automation.
Regarding entertainment and spirituality, Surat Al Baqara was the most requested Surah (Quranic verse) in 2023.
The genre that people requested the most was relaxing music. Furthermore, Akinator, commonly referred to as The Blue Genie, captured players' attention as the most frequently requested game on Alexa.
The most well-liked artist is the famous Saudi singer Mohammed Abdo, who is followed in popularity by Abdulmajid Abdullah, Lebanese giant, Fairuz, Khalid Abdulrahman, and Egyptian pop star Amr Diab.
