IHC Names GCC First AI-Powered Board Member
This is the first artificial intelligence (AI)-powered observer on Abu Dhabi's International Holding Company's (IHC) board of directors.
Abu Dhabi's International Holding Company (IHC) has appointed the Gulf Cooperation Council's (GCC) first artificial intelligence (AI)-powered observer to its board of directors.[1]
Aiden Insight, the AI-powered observer, is innovating boardroom dynamics by providing real-time insights during discussions and guiding pivotal decisions, albeit without voting rights.
The Irish name Aiden, which may be used for either a boy or a girl, means little fire or fiery one and represents the AI's ability to spark creativity and offer insightful analysis. Aiden's last name, Insight, further emphasizes the AI's potential to delve deeply into data analysis and provide the board with insightful viewpoints.
This move comes on the heels of G42's strategic partnership with OpenAI, aimed at delivering AI solutions to the UAE and beyond.
Established in 1998 with the mandate to diversify and cultivate non-oil sectors in the UAE, IHC has witnessed exponential growth, emerging as the most valuable listed holding company in the Middle East. Strategic acquisitions and outstanding performance across its portfolio of businesses have driven a significant 17.9% year-over-year (YoY) revenue surge, according to its most recent financial report.
