Saudi Arabian-based fintech platform PayTabs has joined forces with NearPay, a Saudi Arabia-based fintech startup, to elevate the soft point of sale (POS) payment experience for users across Jordan and other PayTabs markets in the region.[1]

The partnership intends to improve the PayTabs Touch, the company's exclusive soft POS application, for users and merchants in the area, including the MEPS FAST application in Jordan.

PayTabs soft POS technology converts smartphones and tablets into quick payment terminals with ease as part of its payment platform.

This creative solution simplifies transactions and makes it easy for companies of all sizes to accept credit cards.

NearPay will now power PayTabs Soft POS to offer a safe and practical choice for both customers and businesses, in line with the expanding trend toward contactless payments.

SoftPOS makes it possible for NFC-capable smartphones or tablets to serve as contactless payment terminals. With only a tap, merchants can accept payments using their cell phones as safe and effective point-of-sale terminals.

PayTabs was founded in 2014 by Saudi entrepreneur Abdulaziz Al Jouf. The platform, which has offices in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, processes transactions for merchants and super merchants in different currencies.

Founded in 2020 by Mohammed Alaiban and Hamzah Alghamdi, NearPay provides financial payment infrastructure, beginning with a soft point of sale (POS) solution.
