Sentient Labs Bags $85 Million in Seed Round
The startup will use the funds to develop its open-source AI platform.
Sentient Labs, a UAE-based blockchain-based AI startup, has raised $85 million in seed funding. The round was co-led by Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund, Pantera Capital, and Framework Ventures, with additional investors including Arrington Capital, Canonical, Dao5, Delphi, Dispersion, Ethereal, Folius, Foresight, Hack VC, Hashkey, Hypersphere, IDG, Mirana, Nomad, Primitive Ventures, Protagonist, Republic, Robot Ventures, Sky9, Spartan, Symbolic Capital, Topology, and others.
Founded in 2024 by Sandeep Nailwal, Pramod Viswanath, and Himanshu Tyagi, Sentient Labs aims to make AI development accessible and beneficial to everyone.
The startup will use the funds to develop its open-source AI platform, hire experts in AI research and blockchain engineering, and partner with academic institutions and industry players.
Sentient Labs uses software from Polygon to build a community-driven AI platform with blockchain technology. The system rewards engineers for tasks like data labeling and refining, which are essential for training AI models.
