Also participating in the round are Techstars, Blue Lake VC, and Earthling VC, in addition to strategic angel investors which include AI engineers from Meta and Google.
The round will go toward building the company's AI technology, which utilizes audio, dialogue, and visual events to search video content. The technology aims to improve the speed, accuracy and ease of searching videos. It will also help content creators and product-makers find shots and clips, as well as analyze and evaluate video content. All together, the platform will support workflow automation for video content makers.
Imaginario's platform is powered by core artificial intelligence that was built in the US while participating in Techstars' Comcast Lift Labs Accelerator, a media-tech incubator with a less than 1% admission rate.
In November, 216 Ventures led a six-figure investment round in French-Tunisian startup Winshot.
