WHOOP, the human performance company founded by Egyptian-American entrepreneur Will Ahmed, has secured US$575 million in a Series G funding round at a valuation of $10.1 billion.

The round was led by American venture capital (VC) firm Collaborative Fund, with participation from GCC-based investors like the UAE's 2PointZero Group and Mubadala Investment Company, and Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), alongside global investors like AbbottMayo ClinicMacquarie Capital, Glade BrookB-Flexion, Institutional Venture Partners,  FoundryAccompliceAffinity Partners, and Bullhound Capital.

Individual participants in the round included Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, American basketball player LeBron James, Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy, former American basketball player Reggie Miller, Irish singer Niall Horan, Dutch footballer Virgil van Dijk, Irish golfer Shane Lowry, and UAE-based entrepreneur and influencer Karen Wazen.

Founded in the US in 2012, WHOOP provides a wearable device that tracks biometric data to deliver personalized insights on sleep, recovery, and overall health, with the platform powered by more than 24 billion hours of physiological data and artificial intelligence (AI) models. The new investment in WHOOP is set to support its expansion across the GCC, Europe, Latin America, and Asia, with the company's plans including the launch of WHOOP Labs Doha, its first international performance research and development facility, as well as new initiatives across the UAE and Qatar aimed at driving adoption and supporting the region’s performance science sector.

In an interview with Inc. Arabia, Ahmed outlined how WHOOP's Series G round will shape the company's next phase. “I’ve been building WHOOP for over 14 years, and I’ve never been more optimistic about our future than I am right now," he said. "Investors have recognized our extraordinary global growth. We now have more than 2.5 million members around the world. In 2025, we grew bookings 103 percent year-over-year, exiting the year at a $1.1 billion run rate. Importantly, we did that while operating cash flow positive, which speaks to the strength of our membership model. Investors are excited about where we’re going. Today, WHOOP is becoming the home for our members’ health. Our members can share Health Monitor reports with their doctors, view blood tests analyzed on top of their biometric data, review Blood Pressure Insights, and use our medically cleared Heart Screener feature.”

The number of GCC investors in WHOOP’s Series G round underscores the region’s strategic importance to the company, with Ahmed noting that it is building on its presence there through on-the-ground investment and research, including the establishment of its Doha-based performance lab. "We’re proud to be joined by partners from the GCC who share our long-term vision for personalized, preventative health," Ahmed said. "The GCC is one of the most forward-looking regions in the world when it comes to health, performance, and longevity. We’re experiencing a lot of momentum on the ground—from launching WHOOP Labs Doha, to expanding our local teams, and growing our retail footprint in multiple markets. We’re also developing meaningful partnerships across the region that integrate WHOOP into broader health and performance ecosystems. There’s a strong alignment between what we’re building and the region’s focus on innovation and proactive healthcare. We’re committed to investing here for the long term."

For Ahmed, this momentum is part of WHOOP’s deeper push into predictive health and clinical integration. “My goal is to build the world’s leading personal health platform," he declared. "I believe three things will determine who wins that race: having the most robust 24/7 health data, driving daily engagement, and building an advanced AI layer directly into the product. At WHOOP, we’ve been relentlessly focused on all three of these factors. We've collected over 24 billion hours of continuous health data. And we’re building foundational models that will not just track health, but predict outcomes. We will win this race. But this is just the start. Over the coming months, we’re diving into healthcare like we never have before. We have begun working with some of the largest health systems in the world to dramatically improve care and support health outcomes. We look forward to sharing more soon.”

Zooming out from WHOOP’s roadmap, Ahmed also reflected on what founders need to navigate an increasingly competitive environment shaped by AI and rapid execution cycles. “Founders need to be comfortable doing hard things at a very high pace," Ahmed said. "That's always been true in competitive industries, but it’s even more true now. AI is accelerating everything, and the best-resourced companies have real advantages. If you’re not moving fast, you’re already behind. One of the reasons WHOOP has been successful is our pace. It’s something we screen for obsessively. Our core values are high intensity and high humility. A team needs both. Intensity is what allows you to move fast and build something great. Humility is what keeps teams aligned and focused. There’s no room for ego or drama if you want to win. People love to say, ‘it’s a marathon, not a sprint.’ I think that misses the point. The best marathoners in the world are running at a pace most people couldn’t hold for even a few minutes. That’s how we think about building WHOOP. That’s how I would encourage every founder to operate.”
