Adaverse Backs The Saudi Sportstech Grintafy
The investment will accelerate the startup's transition to Web3.
The KSA-headquartered Grintafy, a sportstech company, has secured an undisclosed investment from Adaverse, a leading ecosystem accelerator and seed fund.
This investment represents a pivotal moment in Grintafy's shift from Web2 to Web3 and will support the company’s use of blockchain technology to transform football talent discovery. With Adaverse's backing, the company will focus on integrating Web3 features and elevating user experiences. Beyond product development, the partnership opens doors to global opportunities by connecting Grintafy with prominent football clubs, media networks, and vital resources, while also supporting its future fundraising endeavors.
Founded in 2019 by Majdi K. Allulu, Grintafy has quickly emerged as the ultimate platform for amateur football enthusiasts, attracting over 2 million users to its dynamic ecosystem. By enabling players to craft digital CVs, the company is revolutionizing how talent is showcased and has forged partnerships with federations, ministries, and renowned clubs locally and globally.
Adaverse, Saudi Arabia's pioneering Web3 VC fund and accelerator launched by Vincent Li, is driving the future of Web3 innovation. With a portfolio spanning 60 investments across 13 countries and 20 accelerated startups, Adaverse is shaping the next generation of Web3 ventures and solidifying its position in the region's digital revolution.
This is the second investment that Grintafy has received this year. In March, the company secured backing from Chiliz, a leading blockchain sports entertainment company, further strengthening its presence at the intersection of sports and technology. The company plans to leverage these partnerships to expand its global footprint and introduce innovative features that will redefine talent discovery in football.
In a statement, Vincent Li, managing founder of Adaverse, said, "Grintafy's vision aligns perfectly with our mission to support transformative Web3 projects. Their established presence in the sports tech industry, combined with their forward-thinking approach to blockchain integration, presents an exciting opportunity for growth and innovation in the Web3 space."
On the partnership, Majdi K. Allulu, founder of Grintafy, said, "Adaverse's investment and expertise in the Web3 ecosystem will be instrumental in our evolution. We're excited to explore how blockchain technology can enhance our platform, providing even more value to our users and partners in the football industry."
