Dubai Crown Prince Names New CEOs for Key Government Roles
Decisions No. (54) through (59) took effect on April 1st, 2024, and will be published in the Official Gazette.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has announced new CEO appointments for several Dubai Government entities through a series of executive decisions.[1]
The appointments, detailed in Executive Council Decisions No. (54) through (60) of 2024, include:
- Issam Abdulrahim Kazim as the CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Decision No. 54).
- Mohammed Abdullah Shael AlSaadi as the CEO of Dubai Corporation for Consumer Protection and Fair Trade (Decision No. 55).
- Essa Harab Khalifa bin Hadher as the CEO of the Economic Strategy Sector at Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (Decision No. 56).
- Sahia Sajjad Ahmed as the CEO of Regulatory Policy and Governance at Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (Decision No. 57).
- Saad Mohammed Al Awadhi as the CEO of Corporate Support Services at Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (Decision No. 58).
- Khaled Hassan Mohammed Mubasheri as the CEO of the Legislation and Disputes Sector at Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (Decision No. 59).
Decisions No. (54) through (59) took effect on April 1st, 2024, and will be published in the Official Gazette.
Additionally, Yousuf Ahmed Yousuf Abdullah Lootah has been appointed as the CEO of Strategy and Corporate Performance at the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, effective October 1st, 2024 (Decision No. 60).
In May, Dubai announced a major new quality-of-life strategy to enhance the well-being of the emirate under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.
The goal of the strategy is to make Dubai the world's best place to live, work, and travel. The plan includes an integrated roadmap for sustainable urban development in the city for all facets of the community.
