Emaar Unveils $410 Million Expansion Plan for Dubai Mall

Emaar Properties has revealed a plan for a significant expansion of Dubai Mall, set to include 240 new luxury stores and dining options. This expansion project, with an investment of AED 1.5 billion ($410 million), is already underway, with contractors mobilizing on-site.[1]

Dubai Mall, inaugurated in 2008, stands as a cornerstone of modern retail and leisure in Dubai. It spans 1.2 million square meters, making it the world's second-largest shopping destination. Boasting over 1,200 retail outlets, including stores like Galeries Lafayette and Bloomingdale's, alongside a diverse array of international dining experiences,.

Dubai Mall offers a comprehensive entertainment experience with attractions such as the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, Reel Cinemas, KidZania Dubai, and the Dubai Ice Rink.

Emaar Malls Management (LLC) oversees Dubai Mall among other iconic properties, including Souk Al Bahar, Dubai Marina Mall, and Gold & Diamond Park.

In April, Dubai announced expansion plans for Dubai World Central—Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), backed by a substantial AED128 billion ($34.85 million) investment.

AMI will accommodate 260 million passengers annually once fully operational and will be five times larger than DXB, with 400 airplane gates and five parallel runways.
