Established in 2019, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) stands as the nation's apex body overseeing data and AI matters. It serves as the primary reference point for their regulation, development, and integration into national policies.
SDAIA's mandate extends to modernizing Saudi Arabia's data and AI agenda.
In 2023, KSA clinched the top spot in the Government Strategy Index for AI, a key metric in the global AI rankings compiled by Tortoise Intelligence, encompassing over 60 nations.
Additionally, Saudi Arabia secured the second position globally in societal awareness of AI, as per the Stanford University International Index for AI 2023.
