Qatar’s Msheirab Partners with MetaHug to Launch Roblox Game
The mini-games highlight different aspects of Qatar's heritage and lifestyle.
Qatar’s Msheirab has partnered with gaming studio MetaHug to launch “Msheireb World” on Roblox--a series of mini-games that aim to integrate education into interactive gaming.
The collaboration, which comes on the sidelines of TEFFA, an event dedicated to technology, education, finance, fashion, and art, has resulted in 6 mini-games that highlight different aspects of Qatari history and life. The games include “Pearl Hunt,” which explores Qatar’s pearl diving heritage, as well as games for designing sustainable fashion inspired by traditional Qatari attire, heritage-inspired furniture design, Arabic typography, and the history of Bedouin lifestyles.
The team will host 2 workshops for children aged 7-11 and their parents at TEFFA with MetaHug co-founders Lian Pham and Joshua Johnson and Shaikha Al Sulaiti, Senior Manager of the Doha Design District, Msheireb Downtown Doha.
