OpenAI, led by CEO Sam Altman, has announced a multi-year partnership with Condé Nast. This collaboration will integrate content from brands such as Vogue and The New Yorker into OpenAI’s products, including ChatGPT and SearchGPT.[1]

The new feature aims to improve search results by providing users with quick access to news articles. OpenAI plans to incorporate these updates into ChatGPT to enhance the user experience.

Brad Lightcap, OpenAI's COO, highlighted the importance of accuracy and quality in journalism as AI becomes more involved in news discovery. He stated, “We’re committed to ensuring that as AI plays a larger role in news discovery and delivery, it maintains accuracy, integrity, and respect for quality reporting.”

This partnership follows the launch of SearchGPT, OpenAI’s AI-based search engine designed to provide real-time information. OpenAI has also signed content deals with Time magazine and News Corp, and received permission from Reddit to use its content for AI training.

Recently, OpenAI announced that is rolling out a new feature for ChatGPT users, allowing them to create up to two AI images each day using the DALL·E 3 model. This feature will be available on the free plan, a change from the previous setup where only ChatGPT Plus subscribers could use it.

OpenAI confirmed previously that it is finalizing a text watermarking for ChatGPT, a method that could detect AI-generated essays and expose academic cheating.

Also, OpenAI began rolling out an advanced voice mode to a select group of ChatGPT Plus users. Originally planned for late June, the launch was delayed to July to ensure it met the company's standards.

In May, OpenAI unveiled its latest innovation in AI, introducing the world to GPT-4o just one year after GPT-4's introduction. GPT-4o is available to all, including unpaid users.

A month earlier, OpenAI introduced a new voice-cloning tool. It comes with a caveat: strict controls will be enforced until safeguards are established to mitigate the risks of audio manipulation aimed at deceiving listeners.
