Almouneer, an Egyptian healthtech startup, has announced a new partnership with the International Medical Center (IMC), to enhance eye care and manage chronic diseases in Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa, as per an emailed press release to Inc. Arabia.

This partnership will integrate IMC’s medical capabilities with Almouneer’s digital technologies, particularly in ophthalmology and diabetes care.

The cooperation will provide advanced medical services in ophthalmology and surgery, supported by specialized medical units and international experts. This initiative includes the establishment of specialized centers for retinal and vitreous surgery, diabetic eye treatment, and corneal surgeries. These centers will operate without waiting lists. Additional services will cover plastic eye surgery, cataract and glaucoma surgery, and pediatric eye surgery.

In 2023, Almouneer raised $3.6 million in funding to develop its platform, and app and attract top talent.

Almouneer, founded by Noha Khater (CEO) and Rania Kadry (CTO), aims to support and transform healthcare for people with chronic diseases, including obesity and diabetes.
