The company has introduced new packaging technology and an improved back-polishing process to achieve this reduced thickness. Samsung states that the new memory card design is 9% thinner than previous LPDDR5X models and offers a 21.2% increase in heat resistance. This design helps improve airflow inside smartphones, which is important for managing heat in devices with advanced processors.
The LPDDR5X DRAM cards offer enhanced memory performance and thermal management in a compact package.
Samsung plans to offer the new LPDDR5X cards in capacities of up to 24 GB and 36 GB. The company also plans to develop more compact cards with larger storage capacities in the future.
