GITEX GLOBAL 2025, the world’s largest technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and startup gathering, will kick off in the UAE on October 13, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), with it set to spotlight the next wave of advances in biotech, physical AI, quantum computing, semiconductors, and data infrastructure.

Alongside GITEX GLOBAL 2025, a series of concurrent events will unfold across Dubai, including Expand North Star at Dubai Harbour, the GITEX Quantum Expo (GQX), GITEX Digi Health & Biotech, and the AI Everything summit.

GITEX GLOBAL will host more than 6,800 tech companies and 2,000 startups representing 180 countries. Notable participants include entities like Alibaba Cloud, AMD, AWS, Dell, e&, G42, Google, HPE, Huawei, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, Siemens, and Snowflake, alongside new exhibitors such as Cerebras, Datadog, Mitsubishi, Qualcomm, Rital, ServiceNow, Tata Electronics, Telecom Italia, and Tenstorrent.

In a statement about the event, Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of DWTC, the organizer of GITEX globally, said, “Future-critical sectors including data centers, biotech, quantum, and robotics are where AI ingenuity is converging with humanity’s most pressing challenges. GITEX GLOBAL 2025 gives new impetus to these transformative technologies, while continuing to being the harbinger of innovation-led progress across industries and global economies.”

As AI continues to evolve, its ability to tackle once-unsolvable challenges—from curing genetic diseases to reshaping cities and powering sustainable data centers—is expanding rapidly. With the global AI market projected to reach US$4.8 trillion by 2033, according to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the need to integrate AI across critical sectors has become increasingly urgent.

A major theme this year is AI infrastructure—the “super data centers” powering the digital economy. With global data center investments expected to surpass $500 billion in 2025, according to the research division of Bank of America (BofA) Research, GITEX shall welcome O’Leary Ventures, which is developing what it calls the world’s largest AI data center industrial park in Canada.

Commenting on his enterprise's participation in GITEX, Paul Palandjian, CEO and co-General Partner, O’Leary Ventures, said, "The UAE has become the crossroads and a world leader in the development of technology and AI. No other place has the leadership vision, resources and commitment to attract a world-class cohort across every industry.”

This year’s edition of GITEX GLOBAL also marks record participation from fast-growing tech economies, with Brazil joining the gathering as country partner with its largest-ever tech delegation, while Serbia and Pakistan strengthen their presence through national partnerships. New pavilions from Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, and Turkey add to an expanded lineup spanning Europe, Central Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the Levant.

Tatiana Riera, Chief Operating Officer (COO) at ApexBrasil, said, “ApexBrasil is excited to be at GITEX GLOBAL and Expand North Star with over 50 incredible startups and innovation hubs. It's a great opportunity to show how Brazil is driving innovation and creating tech solutions for global challenges."

Marko Čadež, President, Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, added, “In the age of ubiquitous AI solutions, Serbian startups at this year’s edition demonstrate practical examples of AI applications across diverse fields: from well-being and energy to sentiment diagnostics on social media, showcasing the full depth and breadth of Serbian tech.”

Expand North Star 2024

Running alongside GITEX Global is Expand North Star, the startup showcase hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, from October 12-15 at Dubai Harbour. Now in its tenth year, the event will connect 2,000 startups—many in growth or late stages—with 1,200 investors managing $1.1 trillion in assets, underlining Dubai’s growing role as a bridge between emerging founders and global capital.

There, startups and scaleups will play a central role in shaping the AI supercomputing conversation. This year's edition of Expand North Star will host over 40 unicorns, reinforcing the UAE’s growing reputation as a launchpad for scaleups. Among the key exhibitors, Cerebras will present the world’s largest AI supercomputer, developed with G42, Fluidstack is set to introduce a 1GW decarbonized AI supercomputer, and XPANCEO will showcase five prototypes of AI-powered smart contact lenses combining advances in augmented reality, healthcare, and consumer technology.

Meanwhile, healthcare and biotechnology are set to take the spotlight at GITEX Digi Health and Biotech, where AI is accelerating breakthroughs once thought decades away. Trevor Martin, CEO of Mammoth Biosciences, will detail how CRISPR—the company’s Nobel-winning gene-editing platform—is using AI to help target genetic diseases. Matt Angle, CEO of Paradromics, will discuss how AI and neurotechnology are bridging the gap between mind and machine. Meanwhile, HurayPositive, a South Korean startup, will unveil an AI-powered software as a service (SaaS) solution aimed at delivering precision medicine to one million patients with chronic conditions.

The rise of physical AI will also command attention at the event. Tensor will showcase what it calls the world’s first personal robocar (“agentic AI on wheels”), while K2 will unveil new humanoids and an industrial concept vehicle built for manufacturing environments. With the robotics AI market projected to reach $94 billion by 2031, these innovations highlight how machines are becoming collaborators rather than tools.

Meanwhile, at the GITEX Quantum Expo (GQX), IBM shall unveil its Quantum System Two, a major step toward large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computing. Shukri Eid, Vice President and General Manager of IBM Gulf, Levant, and Pakistan, said, “GITEX GLOBAL is a global stage, but more importantly, it is a platform for action. It brings together the ecosystems that matter: policymakers, business leaders, and innovators driving AI forward.”

Mark Thompson, co-founder of PsiQuantum, a $6 billion unicorn, will use GITEX Global to outline the company’s roadmap toward quantum sovereignty, while Jim Keller, CEO of Tenstorrent, a $2.6 billion chipmaker, will speak on “Taking Control of Your Sovereign AI Future,” exploring how chip design and production are becoming critical to national strategies. IONQ, the first publicly traded pure-play quantum firm, is also joining the event as a key exhibitor, and in the semiconductor arena, AMD is set to showcase its Instinct GPUs and EPYC CPUs that have been built for high-performance, energy-efficient AI operations.

As the global technology community gathers in Dubai this October, GITEX GLOBAL 2025 and its parallel events will provide a unified stage for innovation, investment, and collaboration. Beyond unveiling the latest breakthroughs, the week-long showcase will underscore Dubai’s growing role as a global nexus for AI-driven transformation, where ideas move from concept to impact, and the technologies shaping the future take center stage.
