Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and COP28 President-Designate has been named in the inaugural TIME 100 Climate list [1] released on Thursday, November 16th.

The TIME 100 Climate list aims to highlight the individuals making significant progress in fighting climate change by creating business value.

As CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, Dr. Al Jaber, who also featured in The Middle East’s Sustainability Leaders list [2] released by Forbes in October, is the first CEO to serve as a president for the Conference of the Parties (COP). He is also co-founder of renewable-energy company Masdar.
