As part of the partnership, Archer and Falcon Aviation will kick off the development of vertiport infrastructure at key locations, including Falcon Heliport at Atlantis, the Palm in Dubai, and the Marina Mall heliport in Abu Dhabi’s Corniche, with the aim of addressing the challenges of commuting between the two cities, which often takes over two hours during peak traffic.
The plan entails offering passenger services in Archer’s Midnight flying car between these vertiports, with flights operating primarily over water and promising a swift journey of as little as 30 minutes from takeoff to landing. This route between Abu Dhabi and Dubai is one of the world's busiest and most congested commute corridors, making Archer's announcement of flying car services on this route a pioneering move.
Archer's goal is to replace lengthy car commutes with electric air taxi flights that are safe, sustainable, low-noise, and cost-competitive.
