The test will use HALO Space’s full-size prototype capsule, Aurora, which will reach 30 kilometers above Earth. The goal is to test all key systems developed over the past three years.
CST has been helping HALO Space prepare for this flight, working with other agencies like the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) to ensure everything is safe and up to code.
HALO Space plans to start manned flights in 2025 and commercial flights in 2026. These flights will let passengers travel up to 35 kilometers high, offering views of the Earth’s curvature and space during a six-hour trip.
By 2030, HALO Space aims to offer space tourism to 10,000 passengers, contributing to Saudi Arabia's space and tourism industries. The company, founded in 2021, is working with leading aerospace firms and a design studio to develop its spaceflight program.
