inDrive Unveils Shortlist for Underdog Tech Award 2024

inDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform, has unveiled the shortlist for the Underdog Tech Award 2024, including six Egyptian startups from diverse tech sectors.[1]
The Underdog Tech Award was launched in September last year to support successful technology startups overcoming challenges such as limited resources, funding constraints, and geographical limitations. Winners of the award stand to gain significant cash prizes, with $30,000, $20,000, and $10,000 earmarked for the first, second, and third places, respectively. Additionally, winners will receive valuable assistance, including training from industry experts and PR support.
The panel of judges for the award comprises prominent tech entrepreneurs, academic figures, and industry experts, including luminaries such as Fatma Nasujo, Global Head of Corporate Operations at Wasoko; Sean Kim, President and Chief Product Officer at Kajabi; and Charles Eesley, Associate Professor at Stanford University, among others.
Among the standout finalists are Egyptian startups operating in various tech domains:
Valify Solutions, co-founded by Omar Ahmed Abdelwahed and Ibrahim Karim Eid, is an Egypt-based RegTech company specializing in digital identity infrastructure technology.
Dentolize: Led by Mostafa Dawoud, Dentolize offers a fully customizable dental practice management solution that streamlines financial, clinical, and operational processes for dentists, while also facilitating patient and inventory management.
O7 Therapy - Founded by Ashraf Bacheet, O7 Therapy offers online therapy, corporate wellness programs, and psycho-educational resources in Arabic.
Egrobots - Established by Akhlad Mohamed Alabhar, Egrobots is an agritech platform empowering farmers to optimize resource usage, improve sustainability, and address food security challenges through data-driven insights and analytics.
P-vita - Co-founded by Mohamed Tarek Mohamed Abdelzaher, P-vita is an innovative startup recycling agricultural waste to produce raw materials for the cosmetics and food industry.
Credify: Founded by Abdelrahman Rashwan, Credify empowers digital lenders with alternative data insights, enhances creditworthiness assessments, and enables hyper-personalized marketing strategies.
These Egyptian startups, alongside other finalists from across the globe, are poised to compete for the Underdog Tech Award, with the winners set to be announced on April 1st, 2024, at underdogtechaward.com.
