Muller & Phipps Acquires UAE's Power League Gaming
The acquisition will enable Muller & Phipps to invest in scaling up operations in Dubai and expanding into Saudi Arabia by the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2024.
MENA-based technology distribution company, Muller & Phipps Middle East Group, has acquired UAE-based gaming and esports agency Power League Gaming, for an undisclosed sum. This acquisition includes all assets of Power League Gaming.[1]

Part of the Getz Group of Companies, Muller & Phipps Middle East Group provides distribution solutions for tech partners and network carriers, technology solutions through Pedigri Technologies, and international sales and marketing via Getz Technology.

Power League Gaming, founded in 2013 by John Lacey, offers services such as gaming and esports strategy, management of esports activations, content creation, educational content, and event hosting. They provide solutions for brands and publishers in the gaming sector.
In 2027, gaming revenue in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is projected to reach nearly $2.65 billion, up from about $1.9 billion in 2023. The number of gamers in the region is expected to grow to nearly 80 million by 2027, as per data from Statista.[2]
Saudi Arabia launched an annual Esports World Cup, currently being held in Riyadh from July 3 to August 25, which features popular games and has the largest prize pool in Esports history.
Next year, Olympic esports games are set to take place in Saudi Arabia. The event will gather the world’s best players to compete for their national teams, combining the tradition of the Olympic Games with the popularity of esports.
