Xiaomi Rolls Out Speed Ultra 7 Electric Car
Deliveries are slated to commence by the end of April.
Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has officially launched its highly anticipated electric car, the Speed Ultra 7 (SU7) sedan, in Beijing.[1]
The price of the SU7 ranges from 215,900 yuan ($29,874) to 299,900 yuan ($41,497) in China. This places the starting price approximately $4,000 below Tesla's Model 3 sedan.
The standard version of the SU7 outperforms Tesla's Model 3 on over 90% of its specifications, except for two aspects: it could take Xiaomi three to five years to match Tesla's standards.
It has a minimum driving range of 700 kilometers, surpassing the Model 3's 606 kilometers. Within just 27 minutes of sales commencement at 10 PM Beijing time on Thursday, orders for the SU7 soared past 50,000 units.
Deliveries are slated to commence by the end of April.
