ADNOC, e& to Establish Largest Private 5G Network
This 5G network is part of ADNOC’s multi-year strategy to deploy the latest technologies.
ADNOC and e& will jointly construct the largest private 5G wireless network in the energy industry, covering 11,000 square kilometers. This network will provide high-bandwidth connectivity to ADNOC’s onshore and offshore operations, facilitating the integration of advanced AI solutions in remote locations. The initiative aims to reduce costs through automation, enhance efficiency, minimize emissions, and improve safety.[1]
Set for completion in 2025, the project is expected to generate $1.5 billion in value within its first five years. The network will transmit data from over 12,000 wells and pipelines to autonomous control rooms, enabling real-time recommendations to extend asset lifespan and ensure field safety.
Additionally, it will digitalize wellheads and provide comprehensive visibility over operations, boosting productivity across ADNOC’s value chain.

In May, ADNOC joined forces with G42, and Presight to introduce a new shareholding structure for AIQ to enhance artificial intelligence (AI) solutions in the energy sector.
