It was reported by Bloomberg that negotiations between the two entities are in the final stages.

However, Apple appears to be hedging its bets when it comes to cloud-based artificial intelligence (AI). Bloomberg reported that negotiations with Google for the integration of Gemini, though ongoing, might not make the spotlight next month.
Earlier leaks hinted at Apple's independent venture into AI with its Ajax AI model, tailored for on-device text analysis, smart replies, and summarization. It follows then that the utilization of ChatGPT and other OpenAI technologies would be reserved for intricate tasks such as analyzing extensive text bodies and generating images.
The partnership with OpenAI affords Apple some leeway as it continues to develop its own chatbot, akin to its prior collaboration with Google Maps before launching Apple Maps.
In a parallel disclosure, Gurman also alluded to potential AI enhancements in iOS 18, including custom emoji features, further underscoring Apple's concerted efforts in AI advancement.
Earlier this month, it was reported by Bloomberg that negotiations between the two entities are in the final stages, focusing on integrating ChatGPT features into Apple’s forthcoming iOS 18, the next iteration of the iPhone operating system.
