Dooda Solutions Receives $100,000 Grant from PepsiCo
Around $250 million in funding was attracted to the MENA region's agritech sector in 2022.
Lebanon-based startup Dooda Solutions has won a $100,000 grant from PepsiCo Greenhouse Accelerator Program: MENA Sustainability Edition, in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) and Food Tech Valley (FTV), according to a press release.[1]
After six months of mentorship and a multi-stage selection process, Dooda Solutions was chosen from a pool of over 180 applicants.
Dooda will utilize the grant to further fuel its expansion plan.
Dooda Solutions, founded by entrepreneur Nada Ghanem, is an earthworm farm, that specializes in manufacturing commercially available, high-quality vermicompost (organic fertilizer).
For all plants, crops, and trees, Dooda provides the most environmentally friendly way to create an organic compost that is nutrient-rich, odorless, and sterile.
At the Museum of the Future's closing ceremony, which came after each startup's product showcase and pitch, the winner was declared.
PepsiCo's program was focused on sustainable agriculture in keeping with PepsiCo's pep+ (PepsiCo Positive) sustainability strategy.
