The framework includes initiatives to improve Dubai's quality of life and aims to position Dubai among the world’s top three cities in terms of standard of living and life expectancy.
The Mental Wealth Framework includes ten initiatives to be implemented over the next five years for AED 105 million ($28.59 million). These initiatives aim to achieve high levels of mental wealth within the community and are based on best practices for promoting mental well-being.
Key objectives of the framework include developing a comprehensive model of care encompassing all aspects of mental health services, early detection, intervention, enhancement, and prevention. It also aims to provide high-quality care, support, and counseling services to enhance psychological and community stability. The framework focuses on the educational environment, empowering school staff and parents to develop students' psychological capacities, and increasing satisfaction and happiness among community members.
The DHA will collaborate with relevant entities and community members to achieve the framework's goals. The initiative also promotes research and innovation, with studies conducted to measure and achieve psychological and community stability for individuals, particularly the elderly, children, people of determination, those with chronic diseases, and other segments of Dubai's society.
Studies show employee mental wellness is directly related to creativity and innovation at work. Comprehensive mental health and employee wellness benefits increase productivity, and performance, and reduce the costs associated with losing talent and potential.
