Global tech giant Google has announced the rollout of Personal Intelligence across the Arab world, a feature that's designed to make its artificial intelligence (AI) assistant Gemini more personalized through secure connections to apps such as Gmail and Google Photos.

First introduced in the US earlier this year, Personal Intelligence allows users to link Gemini to selected Google apps so that it can draw on existing information to deliver more tailored responses. The feature is built to reason across multiple sources, retrieve specific details from emails or photos, and combine insights from text, images, and video to answer requests in a more personalized way.

The new feature can help with tasks such as recommending books, planning trips, or generating responses based on a user’s own interests, past activity, and stored content. Privacy controls are central to the offering, with app connections turned off by default. Users must manually enable the feature, select which apps to connect, and can disable access at any time, while Gemini will also indicate or explain the sources of information used in responses to help users verify outputs more easily.

Personal Intelligence is now available to subscribers of Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra across the Arab world, with plans to extend access to free-tier users in the coming weeks.
