The UK's Parkopedia, a provider of connected car services, has joined forces with the UAE's Regeny, a specialized EV charging solutions platform based in the Middle East. Arabia.
According to the latest Parkopedia Global Driver Survey, 91% of EV drivers experience anxiety when searching for public charge points. To address this issue, Parkopedia and Regeny will initially focus on providing charge point data for the UAE, with plans to expand to other Middle Eastern markets, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, and Jordan, later this year.
Regeny boasts access to over 50 active charging sites and aggregates nearly 2,000 charging ports across the UAE.
Through collaborations with various Charging Point Operators (CPOs), Parkopedia aims to extend its coverage to key markets such as India, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Chile.
Parkopedia's suite of services extends beyond EV charging, encompassing parking, fueling, and toll payments across 90 countries. Moreover, the company is developing detailed parking maps and algorithms to aid drivers and self-driving vehicles in locating available parking spaces, including indoor facilities.
Regeny, on the other hand, offers a range of AC and DC fast chargers connected to a charge point management system and a user-friendly mobile app.
