Gamechangers: Gameit's Dr. Heba Atyah
The founder and CEO of Gameit has been named one of Inc. Arabia’s Gamechangers for 2025—a list that recognizes leaders driving the artificial intelligence revolution in the MENA region.
Dr. Heba Atyah is the founder and CEO of Gameit, the KSA-based enterprise behind the Gameit Enterprise Diagnostic Platform (GEDP), which makes use of scientifically based generative artificial intelligence (gen AI) games to identify and support cognitive challenges in school children aged 7-12.
“By analyzing in real-time gameplay patterns, GEDP creates individualized cognitive profiles and delivers automated, targeted interventions for children to enhance their cognitive abilities using fun gen AI immersive game experiences,” Dr. Atyah explains. “With 18 percent of children with learning disabilities dropping out globally due to lack of supported diagnostic and training programs, GEDP offers an engaging, scalable, and data-driven fun approach to transform how we can detect and respond to the individual cognitive learning needs of our children, empowering educators and families with insights and tools to help every child thrive.”

Dr. Atyah, while having over 15 years of clinical experience in developmental disabilities and speech pathology, did not have a background in business when she decided to launch Gameit in 2021. However, having seen her own son struggle with development challenges at a young age, she taught herself to navigate the world of tech and entrepreneurship, built a diverse and talented team, and developed an innovative platform that makes use of AI-powered gaming technology to help children around the world build the cognitive and life skills they need to thrive.
And while Dr. Atyah freely admits to facing several challenges while building Gameit, her startup today is on a decidedly upward trajectory, and so, for those of you out there wishing to use her entrepreneurial trajectory to model their own, she suggests a principle that she so wholeheartedly believes in that it’s part of her official email signature. “You become what you believe,” she says. “And I believe that when you have a mission or a goal grounded in improving human lives, the universe will help you succeed.”
