Gamechangers: ROSHN Group's Yazeed AlGhamdi

With a track record of utilizing digital transformation to drive business goals, Yazeed AlGhamdi brings his passion for harnessing the power of technology to his current role as the Emerging Technologies Director for the KSA-based ROSHN Group, a multi-asset real estate company that falls under the purview of the country’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).

“We have been playing with artificial intelligence (AI) for some time,” AlGhamdi shares. “This time last year, ROSHN Group launched a comprehensive app enabling home purchases, community service requests, and access to amenities. This was built on our digital home acquisition journey, which we launched in 2023. The app, which uses AI to get to know our customers better and make recommendations, is all about convenience for our residents and visitors. Today, over half of our home sales are done online, which is one of the highest percentages in the industry globally.”

With ROSHN Group publicly declaring its commitment to the development of human-centric urban landscapes, AlGhamdi believes that AI integration into smart cities and proptech at large is transforming not just how people buy real estate, but how they relate to their built environments.

“Property technology can transform how we live,” he says. “These ideas underpin the concept of smart cities, which will make our lives both better and more sustainable. With AI as a base, smart cities will reduce emissions, lower our ecological footprint, and raise our quality of life. This is what we can do, with ideas such as NEOM and a strategy that is as comprehensive as Vision 2030.”
