Gamechangers: Connect Earth's Alexander Lempka

As the CEO of Connect Earth, an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven climate intelligence company that is helping banks and financial institutions embed insights on their environmental impact into their digital products, Alexander Lempka is a strong believer in the value that entrepreneurship can bring to addressing global challenges.

“Connect Earth is tackling one of the most pressing challenges in the region: turning sustainability from a vague buzzword into tangible, actionable data that banks and businesses can actually use,” Lempka tells Inc. Arabia. “Across the GCC, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and climate risk are high on the agenda, but most financial institutions still struggle to embed sustainability into day-to-day operations. Today, Lempka’s company—which is based out of the UAE—leverages AI to drive sustainability outcomes for over five million consumers and businesses across the Middle East and Europe, utilizing its AI-powered engine to translate financial transactions into carbon insights at scale.

In fact, Lempka believes that AI is unlocking visibility and action that will propel climatetech forward, leading to measurable, personal, and actionable outcomes.

“What excites me the most?” he adds. “The fact that we can help banks here become the engine of the green economy, by channeling capital toward lower-carbon businesses, offering green lending products at scale, and building an entirely new asset class based on emissions intelligence. This is more than software. It’s a financial system transformation.”
