Abdullah Asiri is the founder and CEO of Lucidya, a KSA-based, artificial intelligence (AI)- powered unified customer experience (CXM) platform, which, under his leadership, became the first AI company in the MENA region to secure venture capital funding.

It has since gone on to close multiple successful funding rounds, and Asiri proudly notes that Lucidya was also selected to be a part of the Saudi Unicorns program, a national initiative to support and enable high-growth technology companies in the Kingdom to reach unicorn status.

According to Asiri, Lucidya’s core strength comes from its ability to address data overload and provide CX and marketing leaders across government, enterprises, and SMEs with culturally relevant customer insights, notably, in Arabic. With its proprietary Arabic language engine boasting a 92 percent sentiment analysis accuracy across 15 dialects and slang variations, Lucidya has supported more than 300 clients across the public and private sectors over the past 10 years.

“We’ve built a solution tailored to our region’s unique dynamics, and executed it with precision,” Asiri says. “That kind of clarity, purpose, and execution should always be a priority for anyone launching a business: start with a real problem, understand your market deeply, and build with intention.”

And the results speak for themselves. As of January 2025, Lucidya reported up to a 230 percent increase in positive brand sentiment, up to a 200 percent increase in social media reach, and a 9X increase in response time to customer inquiries.

But this is just the beginning, Asiri says. “The future of AI in CXM across the GCC lies in hyper-personalization at scale,” he predicts. “As data becomes more structured and regionally governed, brands will shift from reactive support to predictive, culturally fluent experiences. What excites me is the move toward emotionally intelligent, Arabic-native interactions that can deepen loyalty and drive long-term economic value.”
