Gamechangers: Salesforce's Mohammed Alkhotani
The Senior Vice President of Salesforce has been named one of Inc. Arabia’s Gamechangers for 2025—a list that recognizes leaders driving the artificial intelligence revolution in the MENA region.
Mohammed Alkhotani joined Salesforce in January 2025, just as the global software-as-a-service (SaaS) powerhouse opened a new regional office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Today, as Salesforce Middle East's General Manager and Senior Vice President, he plays a pivotal role in the organization, helping to onboard businesses across the region as they adopt Salesforce’s artificial intelligence (AI)-powered solutions.
“Many organizations and individuals talk about AI, but in many cases, things don’t progress far beyond talk—such is the complexity of deploying AI,” Alkhotani says. “Salesforce, and my role at the company, are important, because our technology is tried and tested, and it is having a tangible impact on society today—and this impact will continue to grow.”
Alkhotani notes that as governments across the GCC embrace digital transformation, new opportunities are being created across both the public and private sectors. This, however, also creates a challenge for businesses trying to keep up with the rapid pace of change.

“Organizations are also under pressure to digitize and meet growing expectations from customers across multiple physical and digital touchpoints, often while trying to keep a lid on budgets,” he shares. “One of the key means for organizations to achieve growth while driving efficiency and improving services is to embrace AI—but this also opens a plethora of challenges around deployment, safety, privacy, and ethics.”
This, Alkhotani explains, is where Salesforce’s Agentforce comes in. This new technology layer allows companies to rapidly deploy AI agents and automate tasks, slashing the time that employees dedicate to low-value, repetitive tasks.
“The aim with Agentforce is precisely to liberate humans from those repetitive tasks, allowing them to unleash their potential to solve the productivity bottlenecks that companies face,” Alkhotani explains. “Salesforce envisions a future where Agentforce is the digital labor platform of the future, with humans and agents working together. That is the era of agentic AI.”
