Dubai retained its lead for the second consecutive year, while Abu Dhabi moved up two places to claim second.
Dubai and Abu Dhabi have secured the top two spots on the Savills Executive Nomad Index, highlighting the UAE’s modern infrastructure and quality of life. Dubai retained its lead for the second consecutive year, while Abu Dhabi moved up two places to claim second.[1]
Andrew Cummings, Head of Residential Agency - Middle East at Savills, noted that both cities offer conditions favorable for executive nomads, providing the resources needed for both personal and professional success. He highlighted the business environment in these cities, which supports growth, networking, and long-term connections.
The Savills Executive Nomad Index evaluates 25 destinations favored by long-term remote workers. Cities with beach access are prominent in the top 10, including Málaga, Spain, Miami, US, Lisbon, Portugal, Barcelona, and Palma. The index’s bottom three spots are occupied by Barbados, Algarve, Portugal, and Saint Lucia.
Kelcie Sellers, Associate Director at Savills World Research, explained that while digital nomads are often associated with younger backpackers, executive nomads—who are typically older and may travel with families—place higher importance on quality-of-life factors like safety and healthcare.
