First GCC Women's Basketball Cup Debuts in Abu Dhabi

The first Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy GCC Basketball Cup for Ladies is happening in Abu Dhabi from August 22^nd until the 26th, 2024, under the patronage of Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Al Nahyan. The tournament, organized by the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, features teams from Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and the UAE.^[1]  

Four GCC teams will compete in the event: Kuwait’s Al-Qurain, Oman’s Salalah Club, Qatar’s Al-Gharafa Club, and the host team from Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy.

The event is being held at the academy’s new headquarters, which has been set up with high standards for security and privacy for female athletes. Final matches will take place on August 25^th and 26^th, running from 5 pm to 8 pm.
