TII’s Dr. Chaouki Kasmi On Furthering AI Adoption In The UAE
Dr. Kasmi is the chief innovation officer at Technology Innovation Institute (TII), the applied research pillar of Abu Dhabi’s Advanced Technology Research Council.

This is how Dr. Chaouki Kasmi describes the mission of the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), the applied research pillar of Abu Dhabi’s Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), where he plays the role of chief innovation officer.

Speaking to Inc. Arabia at GITEX GLOBAL 2024, Dr. Kasmi discussed how TII is looking to incorporate AI and generative AI to create and deliver advanced technologies across various fields, including healthcare, transportation, security, defense, and space.
Dr. Kasmi also noted that TII is working to enhance the country's adoption, understanding, and readiness when it comes to AI. As such, when asked for his advice for UAE-based businesses wanting to explore AI, Dr. Kasmi replied, “I think they have to come to us! Because one of our main mandates within the ATRC is to disseminate knowledge.”
