The UAE remains at “the highest levels of operational readiness,” the country’s authorities declared, as Iran's attacks on the nation, which began on February 28, 2026, continue.
The statement was made during a press briefing staged on March 3, 2026, by the UAE government, which brought together representatives from the country’s Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority.
The officials gathered at the briefing, which included HE Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, HE Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and others, emphasized the UAE’s commitment to protecting sovereignty, ensuring public safety, maintaining economic stability, and keeping essential services running across the country.
Speaking at the event, Al Marri said that the UAE economy continues to show resilience, underpinned by its diversified structure, openness, and proactive policymaking, noting that the country’s flexible and forward-looking economic strategies have strengthened its ability to withstand geopolitical and economic shocks.
In a note to businesses operating in the UAE, Al Marri called on them to “uphold their social responsibility,” while urging consumers to “adopt responsible purchasing practices.” He also highlighted that the UAE maintains strategic reserves of essential goods capable of meeting market demand for between four and six months, and that import flows continue according to approved plans without disruption, supported by diversified trade partnerships and alternative sourcing channels.
Meanwhile, with respect to the country’s tourism industry, Al Marri pointed out that the sector, which includes 1,260 hotels and more than 40,000 tourism related companies, is continuing to operate normally. Hotels, resorts, attractions, and shopping centres remain open and compliant with safety standards; at the same time, emergency air corridors have been activated for travelers, and regional contingency plans have been implemented in coordination with GCC member states and the International Civil Aviation Organization.
Dr. Saif Juma Al Dhaheri, Spokesman of the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, added that daily life in the UAE continues without disruption, with energy, water, telecommunications, transport, healthcare, and supply chains operating as expected. Business continuity plans have been activated as a precautionary measure, he said, and education continues through distance learning platforms to ensure academic continuity.
